Disruption of Water Supply until 12 midnight on Sunday 9th October 2011 – updated 4.45 pm on 9th October

Dublin City Council wishes to advise consumers that due to essential major emergency works being carried out on the water supply network by Fingal County Council in North Dublin, there will be an unavoidable disruption to water supply in the North East Area of Dublin City today Sunday 9th October 2011. The work will take place at the following locations: junction of Forrest Rd and Cooks Rd, (rear Dublin airport, Swords); Adjacent to Naul Rd/R132 Junction close to Cloghran Roundabout, Swords; and off road adjacent to Naul Rd/Forrest Rd.

Fingal County Council crews will continue working until the job is completed. Water supply will be diverted from elsewhere in the network throughout the disruption to reduce the impact the works will have on a number of homes.

The areas likely to be affected by this disruption can be viewed on this map. It should be stressed that the area highlighted indicates that most likely to be affected by the water disruption but that some other areas on the periphery may also experience poor water pressure or loss of supply..

  • Darndale
  • Clonshaugh
  • Donaghmede
  • Artane
