Important Notice: Disruption of Water Supply

Following a non compliant water sample Dublin City Council carried out some remedial works and sampling in a small localized area affecting sixteen houses that we have already notified. As a result of the work we’re doing, particularly flushing mains, in the coming days there may be short term transient issues and this is why we are sending a leaflet drop to notify customers and giving advice.

Following the results of further sampling and consultation with the HSE, as a precautionary measure we are now extending the advice to a larger local area (a maximum of 1400 properties). The Water supply to Dublin City Council is divided into approximately 200 DMA (District Metered Area) and of these DMA’s only one DMA is affected by this potential problem.

As a precaution, Dublin City Council in conjunction with the HSE advise residents and businesses in the following areas not to use their water supply for drinking or cooking purposes until further notice;

From the Howth Road to Castle Avenue and from the Howth Rd at Collins Avenue to Clontarf Rd.

Dublin City Council will continue to carry out remedial works and continue to sample the water supply in order to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Dublin City Council have already mobilized water tankers in the area. They are located at the following locations:

Castle Avenue at Kincora Avenue

St Lawrence Road at the Howth Road
